So, Who Do YOU Think Can Fish?
 |
|
If you have even a passing familiarity with reality TV, you're familiar with the premise — an ambitious cadre of hopefuls shows off their talent (or lack thereof!), a handful of judges determines the finalists, and then the audience votes for a grand-prize winner.
In NAFC's "So, You Think You Can Fish?" contest, we've put our own spin on the formula — call it "reel-ality TV." Well, Reel-ality Web TV.
Contest finalists and the grand-prize winner will comprise the first-ever team on NAFC's video pro staff, and will appear throughout the year in how-to videos posted at FishingClub.com and on our Facebook page.
That's where you come in. NAFC editors have chosen four contest finalists but we're calling on the NAFC community to vote and choose our grand-prize winner. As in our popular Outstanding Catch contest, there's something in it for YOU to cast a vote ... one lucky voter will a waterproof HD video camera ($200 value)!
Before you cast your vote, consider what we challenged each video-contest entrant to do — be informational AND entertaining. And while production value certainly adds value to a video, remember, the aim of this contest is to reward the best on-camera anglers in the NAFC community, not the best video producers/editors — so judge the entries on the host's knowledge, charisma, presentation and teaching ability, not just on who has the fanciest graphics, best music and/or sharpest, HD picture.
We've received submissions from around the country — Washington state, California, Minnesota, Delaware, to name a few — from anglers targeting a wide variety of fish, including bass, trout, musky, carp and catfish. To view the four finalists' videos and cast your vote, visit this link!
