World's Biggest Carp!
 |
| |
Holy carp! That's a big fish! In fact, it's the biggest carp ever caught, according to many authorities, including those who run an aptly named website called WorldRecordCarp.com.
The 99-pound behemoth was caught in France, by a British angler named John Bryan (as if the French needed another reason to resent the Brits). The fish is so famous it's got a nickname, "The Scar," and it's been caught before and entered in the record books.
How long will this record last? Who knows? The Carp Anglers Group is running a carp contest right now—in fact, a recent Fishin' Informer had the scoop on it. Take a look to see the best weights so far—the page is updated daily.
And, if your curiosity's piqued, you can also find out the biggest carp ever caught, by country. |
