| |
What angler's heart doesn't start pounding at the sight of an amped-up predator fish mauling a surface lure? Doesn't matter if it's a battle-scarred largemouth blowing up a frog, or an oversize snook pounding a chugger. Any gamefish in full-on attack mode gets the adrenaline pumping.
But...it's...January. And even the folks in Atlanta are still digging out from the latest winter storm. Which means you're a long way off from feeling that killer adrenaline surge. So here's the cure: This amazing video will give you a much-needed topwater fix.
In the likely event you don't recognize the species, it's a queenfish, a popular sportfish that inhabits the coastal waters off northern Australia. The footage comes from TV show host Mark Berg.
Considering its aerial acrobatics and the simply cruel way it attacks topwater baits, it's easy to understand why the queenfish is so popular among Aussie anglers.
