Five Bass On One Cast ... Win An Alabama Rig
 |
|
We can't guarantee you'll catch five bass on one cast the way Ken Golub recently did on Conesus Lake, New York, but the North American Fishing Club is offering you a shot at it.
On its Facebook page, the NAFC is giving away one Alabama Rig like the one in this video, complete with five HardNose Swim Shad baits from Mann's Bait Co., and two of Yum's new YUMbrella rigs, each with five Money Minnow swimbaits.
Known generically as umbrella rigs, the castable five-lure rigs gained fame—some say infamy—when Paul Elias weighed in 20 fish weighing a total of 103 pounds and destroyed his competition at an FLW tournament on Lake Guntersville last fall.
Every bass-related Internet forum and Facebook page has been alight with discussions and arguments regarding these rigs, but only one thing is certain. They're about as scarce as an honest lawyer right now, and this contest might be the best way to get your hands on one.
Want to see the rig in action? This Mann's video demonstrates how well an umbrella rig mimics a school of baitfish, making the bait sooo deadly on suspended, main-basin bass.
