Top Secret Soft Plastic
 |
|
Chances are, you've got tons of soft plastics ... but we're willing to bet you haven't fished these.
Long story short: We were looking for new ways to target low-water, late-fall fish and started hearing rumors of a new soft plastic that consistently—almost magically—put anglers on big walleyes, smallies and largemouths.
Despite some serious photos and testimonials, we were skeptical. After all, the bait doesn't look a lot different from other soft plastics we've fished.
But look at it from below — like an approaching fish — and you'll see the difference. Unlike a lot of other soft plastics out there, this bait has a thin profile and a fat belly ... and a soft, hook-penetrating ribbed body ... and a giant thumping tail to attract fish in stained or deep water.
B FISH N Tackle owner Bob Gillespie says the idea for the bait came from countless phone calls with anglers across the country and conversations about what they wanted in a multi-species soft plastic.
The result? A bait that many guides would prefer remain a secret ...
