Freak Octopus, 85-Year-Old Catches Giant, WIN Tackle Kit
WatchWatch
While we've seen tons of big fish caught from small watercraft, this is the first video we've ever seen of an octopus caught and landed from a kayak.

At first, the fisherman thought this leviathan was a snag. He yells to his buddy who quickly paddles over and catches the ordeal on video. And kudos to the cameraman for getting the killer underwater footage you just don't see everyday.

The day began when Ms. Laurie caught a 12-pound mackerel and decided to use it as bait for something much, much bigger ...

Instincts rang true when the octogenarian hooked a giant marlin weighing over one-third of a ton. And although she says she was lifted out of her seat twice while playing the fish, she brought the giant to the boat before it was released with the help of the crew.

Let's hope we've got enough p#*$ and vinegar to fight a trophy like this when we're Ms. Laurie's age! You, ma'am, are our hero.
