A Six-Inch Whale That Catches Fish
Soft swimbaits are obviously everywhere in bassin' these days. We've seen 'em all, and a lot of 'em look and act the same.
But we just got a firsthand look at one that brings something new to the table: the
SkippyFish
.
The bait's tail section is much longer than those of the masses and it's vertically flattened—narrow on top and bottom, with tall sides. And rather than the standard split- or paddle-tail, the SkippyFish has a
horizontally positioned whale tail
.
The result is an action that's actually different from all the others—
more subtle shimmy and less throbbing kick
. And in pressured waters where fish have seen it all, that could mean more fish in the box.
