Angler Grapples 300 Pounder In The Pads

It's hard to beat a clever fishing commercial, like this one for Rapala's Trigger X softbaits. The company claims the pheromone-laced lures compel predators to eat. Apparently, they also compel large, amphibious, professional wrestlers to pick fights with unsuspecting anglers.
Of the tackle companies that use wit and humor to drive home their selling points, Rapala is among the best. Remember the Rapala vs. river otter spot? How about the unforgettable introduction of the Jointed Shad Rap? Anglers had been waiting a long time for this lure to come out, and when it finally did, well, they apparently danced for joy.
Sometimes, though, fishing commercials don't make you chuckle for the reasons the manufacturer had in mind. Or, maybe they knew exactly what they were doing. Check out this spot for Johnson outboards.
