3 Lethal Leadheads
It's safe to say that more fish have been caught on jigs than any other type of artificial lure. Here are three that raise the bar even higher.
A Better Ball-Head
You wouldn't think a standard ball-head jig could be made to fish better, but Lindy cracked the code. Its new Lindy Jigs feature 3D bug-eyes and a clean line tie (no more eye-busting). Best of all, you can get them in a full range of sizes from 1/32- to 1-ounce.
Modern Marabou
This ain't your grandpa's marabou jig. Northland uses a special soft, silky variety of the feathers to give its Bug-A-Boo an R-rated action. The slightest breath of current or rodtip twitch pumps life into the material, mimicking swimming insect larvae, a squirming leech or dying minnow.
Dock Destroyer
It's tough to skip a skirted bass jig under a dock, but the All-Terrain Tackle Skip-N-Jig's head shape cures that. The chip-resistant powder-paintjob stays intact even after you've bounced it off a few steel posts, and the large collar keeps the hand-tied skirt right where it needs to be.
