The 89-year-old WWII vet is revered as kind of a "spiritual father" who's "still able to fish the pants off of all of us." Yet, Moore simply sees fishing as a passion that has sustained and served him well since his father first taught him to cast at a very young age. He's given back as much as he's taken from the waters near his Oregon home. Moore exemplifies what it means to be a good angling steward—before conservation was cool. Something we could all work harder at. Our hats off to you Mr. Moore, for a lifetime of angling achievement.
